Information We Collect

When you use VETTR, we may collect the following types of information:

Account email — used to create and secure your account, send important notices, and communicate product updates.
Usage data — pages visited, features used, and session duration, collected to understand how the product is used and improve it.
Portfolio data — companies and watchlists you configure voluntarily within the platform. This data is stored securely and never shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

How We Use It

We use your information solely to:

Provide the service — deliver company analysis, scores, alerts, and all core VETTR features.
Improve the product — understand usage patterns and identify bugs, performance issues, and areas for enhancement.
Communicate with you — send account-related emails such as verification, password resets, and material policy changes. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance reasons.

Third-Party Services

VETTR integrates with the following third-party services to deliver its features:

Anthropic — AI features (company summaries, anomaly explanations) are powered by Anthropic's Claude models. Queries are sent to Anthropic's API. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Yahoo Finance / Market Data Providers — market data, price history, and financial metrics are sourced from public market data APIs. No personal user data is shared with these providers.
Plausible Analytics — we use Plausible for privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics. Plausible does not track individual users across sites and does not use personal data.

Cookies and Tracking

VETTR uses minimal, functional cookies only. We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Our analytics provider (Plausible) does not use cookies and does not collect personal data.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encrypted passwords (bcrypt), and access controls. We do not store payment card data — all payments are processed by our payment processor. While we take security seriously, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Export — download your portfolio and watchlist data in a portable format.
Delete — request permanent deletion of your account and all associated personal data.
